My Ceramics Journey
started while I was unemployed and wanted to rediscover art. With a limited budget, I discovered an affordable community ceramics studio. At first, I struggled with the medium and even considered quitting.
Over time, I discovered my unique style, unlike anything I'd seen before. After abandoning the idea of what will sell, I turned to the inward to create, acknowledging my Japanese, Mexican, and Indigenous from New Mexico heritage for inspiration.
